## Human-Indexed Work (HIW)

A labor architecture in which AI execution is indexed to an identified natural person who configures or operates it, retains meaningful control, and remains accountable for the work outcome.

## Human-Indexed Work Protocol (HIWP)

The vendor-neutral declaration, assessment, evidence, portability, and governance protocol for Human-Indexed Work.

## Human Capability Unit (HCU)

The assessable unit: one human principal plus their operator layer and declared capability modules, running inside a bounded work context on licensed compute substrates.

## Human principal

The natural person whose intent, judgment, authority, intervention, and accountability index the capability unit.

## Operator layer

The human-authored or human-curated controls that make the system operable by its principal: interfaces, automations, prompts, procedures, monitors, routing logic, tests, escalation rules, and working preferences.

## Capability module

A bounded AI-enabled function within the unit, such as research, triage, drafting, analysis, monitoring, scheduling, or production.

## Work context

Employer- or client-controlled data, policies, credentials, systems, relationships, and domain constraints used during an engagement.

## Compute substrate

Foundation models, hosted inference, tool runtimes, third-party services, and hardware used under license or terms of service.

## Capability claim

A precise statement that an identified HCU can produce a defined outcome under declared conditions and constraints.

## Evidence receipt

A signed, immutable record of one assessment run: task, conditions, inputs by hash or safe descriptor, result, human attention, interventions, evaluator, failures, and timestamps.

## Capability Passport

A selectively disclosable collection of current capability claims backed by evidence receipts. It belongs to the person as a record of demonstrated capacity while respecting employer confidentiality.

## Clean-room transfer

Reconstitution of the portable operator layer in a new context without moving former-employer data, credentials, protected procedures, or confidential work product.

## Working-name note

The descriptive phrase “personal capability stack” already appears in public discussion. This proposal does not claim to have originated that phrase. The proposed contribution is the integrated labor architecture: a natural-person-indexed unit, explicit IP separation, job-bounded performance evidence, clean-room portability, and a hiring/governance protocol.
